Lime Crime, I love you :)

I have to say, Lime Crime, a WONDERFUL cosmetic retailer, is beyond awesome. No one else provides bright, beautiful colors, that actually look bright and beautiful when worn, without 30 coats. Smarts celebs have been wearing this brand as well. (Marina from Marina and the Diamonds would be one of these 'in the know' groups of celebs) On top of the awesomeness that is Lime Crime as a product, even the packaging is lovely. (see Below) A lovely company that surely will be growing even more as time goes on, Love you guys!

Oh Captain, My Captain

I am super excited to see 'Captain America'! I've been super-busy this week, so I haven't been able to go yet, but I did take part in some of the prmotions going on for the movie.
Dunkin' Donuts is one of the main promoters and, even though I rarely go, as a fan of Chris Evans, I HAD to get the cup they were selling, once I saw the commercial for it. It's a tri-cup, is will be hard to use sans a straw, but it's still pretty cool! It's meant to hold 3 different Coolata flavors that represent the red, white and blue theme. (Cherry, Vanilla Bean, and Blue Raspberry) Named, 'The First Avenger Tri-Cup Coolatta', not going to lie, if it weren't for getting the cup, I would have chosen death. I've had a coolatta before, but clearly, the thought process for this combination was based solely on colors and not a taste combination.
Nonetheless, I took one for the Evans team, and now I've earned my title as a good fan and have this pretty sweet cup! :)

Someone NEEDS to Replicate Marilyn Monroe's Sandals! (Please)

These sandals show up in so many pictures of her, and are rumored as one of her favorites in various places, but, from what I can see, no one has replicated them. Why not?! They're cool, people would DEFINATELY buy them, AND since the ribbon is changeable, they'd go with anything! If I can have Marilyn salt & pepper shakers, then why can't you people make me her shoes. Please get on this people (and send me a free pair if you'd like, since I asked so nicely :) )

Unless someone has replicated them and I've missed this somehow, then someone please be kind enough to point me and my credit card in the right direction.

Am I the Only One that Actually Liked Sucker Punch?

Not really Earth shattering thoughts, but I finally saw Sucker Punch after wanting to see it for so long! (And even though I've been told most of the story even though I tried to zone it out)
Unlike most people I've talked to, I really liked it! I'm not bitter that I bought the DVD at all. Is it the BEST film I've ever seen? No. I guess I went in to it not expecting too much more than what was promised, some crazy story line with some crazy-cool girls that wanted to get something done. Not going to hate on this one. Of course, the dancing thing felt akward every time they show her swaying and then no real dance...give us SOMETHING here people. Nonetheless, it's what I expected and definately interesting. Maybe it helps that it had an 'Alice in Wonderland' element to it. (And cool artwork)

Happy Fourth of July!! Celebratory nails :)

So I've been off a bit, but I promised myself I would be better! So, to Celebrate the 4th today, I decided to do a Marina & The Diamonds 'Hollywood' inspired nail design. It's been going a few days strong, since the fourth celebration really started on Friday. I've already gotten quite a few compliments on them ANNND they're fairly easy to do!

All you need is some tape (best if it's masking tape, because stronger tape will peel off the first layer)
and nail polish!

One hand (best if it's your non-dominant hand for best results) will be the blue polish
The other, red (or white if you prefer to start with white)
Simply use the white to add dots once the blue is dried, then put tape on the red side to mark off your lines and paint over it! They're a lot of fun and easy!

I chose my hands based on what Marina had, but if you're right handed, it'll benefit you if you do it this way.

Enjoy your holiday, and check out the style on the lovely Marina herself in the 'Hollywood' music video!
